We’ve partnered with GuideAlong to bring you this one-of-a-kind experience, guided by authentic stories and expert knowledge.
This driving tour covers the legendary stretch of Route 66 from Petrified Forest National Park to Topock, Arizona—just before the California state line. Spanning over 300 miles, the journey takes at least five hours of drive time. While it’s possible to complete in a single day, we recommend spreading it over two days to fully enjoy the iconic stops and roadside attractions along the way.
On the drive, you’ll listen to fascinating stories and hear useful tips for getting the most out of your road trip. We’ll tell you all about the history of this highway, from the earliest days of rugged travelers to the persistence of Route 66 in our national mythos.
We’ll pass through historic towns like Flagstaff and get a taste of the Old West. And we’ll see plenty of Arizona’s famous desert scenery, from windswept vistas to huge caverns and canyons. And don’t forget to grab a Route 66 Passport and stamp it at different landmarks along the way for a permanent record of your journey!
