Proudly Presents the
Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona Grant

After launching our award-winning license plate in December of 2016, the Association refocused on developing a fiscally-transparent program to inject the resulting revenue back into the Route 66 community. As a result, The Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona partnered with the Arizona Community Foundation on a new and exciting project - The Route 66 Arizona Grant. It was a long road (not quite as long as Mother Road), but dedication, strategy, and the support of the people of Arizona helped bring this grant to life. Now, thousands of our specialty plates can be found on vehicles all across the state. Each of those is a contributor to the dream that is preserving, promoting, and protecting Route 66.

This grant seeks to award non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and local, state, or tribal government agencies with the funds they need to tackle projects big and small. These projects will need to continue the Association's mission to preserve, promote, or protect Route 66 in Arizona. While the tenets of the Association's mission are at the heart of this grant, we understand that things take time and resources. Considering that, applications will also be considered for planning, education and research.
